PRODUCTION LINES

QSTEEL is spread around an area of 70,000 square meters with facilities capable of producing up to 0.5 million tons per year of high quality reinforcing bars ranging in size from 8 to 40 mm, in accordance with BS 4449:2005 grade B500B standards.

The company operates a fully automated high speed flexi mill that is capable of producing rebars, light sections and in the near future, wire rod line.

Rolling mill comprises the following equipment:

• 100TPH walking hearth reheating furnace
• 18 HV configuration rolling stands
• TMT quenching cooling system
• Cooling bed and bar finishing area
• CNC machine shop

Furthermore, a quality testing lab is present and equipped with highly advanced testing and analytical systems such as universal testing machine, optical emission spectrometer, ECM, bending machine, microscope, hardware testing machine and more. For every 20 tons produced, the lab tests a sample for a variety of features such as yield strength, tensile strength, elongation and more. RIB profile and chemical analysis testing are done after 100 tons.

The technology and equipments mentioned above originate from European companies that are industry experts.

Vendors include European and Asian companies with plans for local vendor partnerships.
